AWIN members learn and grow as professionals
Advancing Women in Nashville develops women leaders through a robust, 12-month schedule of programming offered in a variety of formats. Based on member feedback, we host large and small gatherings in person and mix in virtual programming throughout the year to accommodate as many needs as possible. Our multi-faceted program offerings are planned and delivered by members on topics they determine are most critical, using their expert leaders and occasional outside experts. All programs are designed to support business goals as broadly as possible.
Our slate of events also includes:
- Small-group opportunities with peer-to-peer interaction
- Best-practice sharing sessions with all members
- Peer roundtable discussions for C-suite leaders of member organizations
- Our Annual Summit is the highlight of the AWIN year, bringing hundreds of members together for a day of learning, connection, and creativity. It features a keynote speaker, panels, and breakout sessions tailored to personal choice and variety.

July 18
Serving in the summertime! In line with our mission to support community organizations who support women and families, AWIN joined our July community partner, Nashville Rescue Mission, at their brand-new, 72,000 square-foot Women and Children’s campus. We had several volunteers from our member organizations serve lunch, play games with families, organize the hygiene storage room, and assist guests in the computer lab. Thank you to our volunteers as well as the incredible team at the Mission who made these service projects possible!

This award, presented last week at our Advancing Innovation Awards, recognizes an AWIN member for improving health, equity, diversity, and collaboration in the workplace. This impactful program that addresses mental health head-on in the workplace, is supported by dedicated leadership, and demonstrates how simple changes can significantly benefit an organization’s greatest asset: its people.
